Some of my pictures are 6 inches by 4 inches and I would like to resize the pictures to be all 4 inches by 6 inches. I thought I would scan them, resize them and then print them. Is this possible? I am very new at this and need things explained in very simplistic language. I then would print them from my printer.

Whenever I email a picture I always fetch up the "Windows can resize the pictures you send in e-mail so that they transfer faster" etc dialogue. I NEVER want to make the pictures smaller and always have to pick the "Keep the original sizes" option. Is there some way to make that option permanent and get rid of this

I was able to resize all pictures at a time throught XP, my computer was having problems so I reformatted it and not when I pull up pictures to view as thumb nail I am never given the choice to resize pictures. Then one day, Explorer caused a GPF and now the "Resize Pictures" option is gone from the context menu when I right-click on a jpg. It's there for .gif and .bmp files, but not .jpg. I tried the fix provided by Doug Knox, but that didn't work.
